Barack Obama Minneapolis Stump Speech

Presidential candidate Barack Obama invoked the names of Paul Wellstone and Hubert Humphrey on his campaign stop in Minneapolis today.
"All across the country, people are ready for a change, " Obama told the crowd of about 3,000 supporters.
He said they should stop accepting things the way they are and start making things they way they should be.

Joe Repya mulls run against Norm Coleman

Still smarting from his loss less than a week ago in the GOP State Chair race, Joe Repya is reportedly thinking about running against the man he helped elect to the U.S. Senate. Repya was one of Senator Norm Coleman's advisers on veteran issues in his 2002 campaign for Senate. Repya seems to have the ear of the divisive elements in the Minnesota GOP. He says he's been asked by "a number of people" to mount a campaign against Coleman.

Minnesota Says Thank You

It's taken more than 60 years, but Minnesota finally has a memorial to those who fought in World War II. Some of the most touching moments were not part of the grand ceremony, but off to the side where each veteran who attended was personally thanked and given a medal.
